It was good to be home. Morgan moved the chest of drawers and put Scotty’s belongings inside, then moved the chest back. She’d deal with the rest tomorrow after work. She was tired and looking forward to sleeping in her own bed. She was briefly confused and then realized that she was sitting at the table in the old dim kitchen, exactly where she had been in her last dream. She got up and looked out the window.
