“This is Eric, your brother.” Eric sounded uncertain. Unlikely that he had doubts about either of their paternities, more likely that he was hesitant to talk to her.
Morgan glanced at the clock. “Can I call you back in twenty minutes? I’m going to be late for work if I don’t leave now.”
“I thought you owned the business,” Eric asked.
“That doesn’t mean I like to be late.” Morgan sighed. “My guys normally leave within a few minutes of getting there and I like to be there, in case there’s something they need to tell me.”
“I’ll call you back this evening,” Eric decided. “I don’t want to discuss this at work.”
