She remembered from her first trip to Appleton that there was a Holiday Inn close to the downtown area. She called from the airport and booked a room, then went over to the rental car area and rented a car from a different company than she had used the first time. She paid with a credit card. She hadn’t stopped at the bank on her way to the airport and while she had a fair amount of cash, she wanted to use it at restaurants and other places where she might be noticed as someone who wasn’t local. The hotel and car on the first trip had both been in her mother’s name. It was unlikely that they would associate her name with her mother. Finn’s cult was hardly the FBI.
