As A Movie

CHAPTER - 01

If it weren't for my best friends then I could have enjoyed a movie or two but now here I was turning my closet upside down to find something to wear because both of them made a plane to go shopping as it was Saturday so we had no school. Lastly I gave up on choosing cloths instead I pulled out a simple purple tank top and white jeans to go with it.

All of my clothes were lying at almost every corner of my room. I sure was going to get good scolding if dad would look at the disaster I had made of my room. But I had no time to clean that mess up as I was already running late, we had decided to meet at four in afternoon and it was already three so I hurriedly went to wash up.

"Amber, are you going somewhere?", my dad asked as he found me running down the stairs with my shoes in hands and a sandwich stuffed in my mouth.

"Yeah dad. I am going shopping with Hannah and Emily. I will be back till 8.", and the best thing about my dad had been that he hardly or I should say had never said no to me for anything till now. He smiled as I waved at him before sitting in car.

Driver went back our home as it wouldn't have made any sense to make him wait for hours when I could always call him later to pick me up. I was standing near the entry gate of the mall but I couldn't find Emily and Hannah. I was a bit late so they might have gone inside already. I called Emily and she told me that they were at H&M but before cursing me out for being a lazy a*s.

Only if I wouldn't have slept for so long than may be I had a chance to give them shock of their live times by being on time. But I knew something like that wouldn't happen until sun would start to rise from west or rivers went dry. I ran anyway to reach to them as soon as I could but could anything ever go smoothly in my life, no. Out of nowhere a guy came in front of me. I tried to stop my legs but it was already too late.

I bumped into him which made him stumble and fall. But that wasn't it. I lost my balance and he ended up being my cushion. I thought I would be some kind of intense moment as movies where dramatically h****n had fallen over hero and their eyes would meet only be to be drowned in them. But it was reality so rather than a handsome face my eyes were locked with a man in all black with his face almost covered with his black hat only his grunt was audible which made me aware of our position.

"I am sor-", I stammered while trying to form an apology as I stood up and dusted my clothes off.

"Are you blind!", It was a question it felt more like he was stating a fact and he looked annoyed. I opened my mouth to argue or to apologize again I wasn't sure but before any words could come out of my mouth, he went away with a huff.

Five missed calls from Emily and there missed calls from Hannah, god I was going to die now. Emily was calling me again. I took few deep breaths to muster up courage. I gulped as I accepted the call, ready to be thrown under questions. This time when I picked the call up I heard Hannah yell my name so loud that I literally felt like my ear would bleed.

"Amber where the hell are you girl? Is everything okay? Don't tell me some thug kidnapped you because you are freaking rich? Why you weren't picking up your phone? Darn it Amber, say something will you. Amber." This girl wasn't even leaving any space for herself to breath and yet she was asking me to say something. And her imagination, k********g like was she for real.

"Hannah you need to stop for me to say anything.", I tried to be hilarious.

"Amber your attempt sucks now will you tell us where are you.", I told them that there I would be there within two minutes.

"it's all because of the jerk...." I muttered under my breath in utter annoyance as I walked in H&M. Emily and Hannah noticed me and singled me to come to them.

First I was welcomed with few playful punches before they decided to let the matter slide as I told them about that arrogant jerk. Shopping was so fun that we didn't realize how two hours passed in trying those pretty dresses.

"I am hungry guys lets grab something.", Emily and I laughed as Hannah's stomach growled even before she voiced those words.

"let's go to burger king.", Emily suggested without missing a beat. Indeed she had been a burger lover ever since I had known her and on that note we had been childhood friends.

"No! how about Domino's? I am carving for pizza today.", Hannah interjected and I knew it was going to be a war between Hannah and Emily.

"Burger king"

"Domino's"

"I said Burger king."

"And I said Domino's."

"Amber you tell. Burger king right."

"Amber its Domino's isn't it."

"Errm..." I was stuck in this situation again. They really can never agree on same place to eat.

"How about we solve it like always?" I said and both of them had sly smiles.

"Rock paper scissors", both exclaimed at the time.

Whenever we trio had to decide on something conflicting we would always decide it with rock paper and scissors. Of course its lame but at the same time its fun and moreover it had always been peculiarly a good way for us to agree on something.

"Yes I won." It seemed like we were going to have burger today.

Emily did her little victory dance as we went towards Burger king. We occupied corner table near exit side. Emily went to order at the counter to give our orders while Hannah told me about a new Korean drama she was watching these days and she was so obsessed with those Koreans dramas and k-pop that she could talk about them for hours. And honestly I and Emily also enjoy her fan-girling over her favorite Korean actors and idols. It had been most fun was to tease her about it.

"Shoot", I was about to curse the person who caused my mobile to fall but all words died in my throat when my eyes fell on similar all black outfit. It was that jerk again. He picked up my mobile along with his own belongings which had fallen because god knew how he wasn't able to see such a big table and ended up knocking his leg at our table. Weirdly it was only my mobile to fall out of all other things kept on the table.

"hey!" slipped out of my mouth as I was about to curse him out.

I wasn't even surprised that arrogant jerk instead I was expecting it from an ego bigger than his head kind of guy. He just placed my mobile on the table back at its original position and proceeded to go out like nothing happened. That jerk walked out like my words didn't reach his ears.

"Can I kill someone today?" I had messed my burger because of him.

"What happened guys?" Emily asked looking at my face while she placed our order over the table. Food, the only thing which had my eyes shine with bliss, foodie for life. Well if you would ask me food indeed is another word for heaven.

"Her mobile fell because of a guy. ", Hannah told Emily while drinking her cold drink.

"And he was that same guy I bumped into earlier. ", I added with pissed off expression.

"What it was him. You mean that arrogant jerk? ", Hannah and Emily questioned me to get confirmation.

"YES!!", I replied reluctantly.

"I bet he is handsome.", and the grin didn't leave Hannah's face, she had long forgotten that he was the one to make me late and not to add piss me off too.

"Hannah, Did you even see his face?", I asked still astonished.

"Nope he was wearing cap silly and sadly he didn't even stay long enough to have a peek.", Hannah sighed in disappointment and Emily and I had our faces palmed at her words.

"Stupid then how can you say he was handsome!", Emily stole my question.

"I could just tell. When he stood up he seemed to be tall and muscular. And besides in all Korean dramas if a guy is rude, he is always hot.", Hannah said with dreamy eyes, she was again lost in her drama world. I didn't know why we were even listening to her that girl, she had never made any sense whenever it had to do with dramas.
