CHAPTER - 10

" Damn why is he so cool!" Hannah's breath hitched while her eyes still lingered where the boy walked out from just a few seconds ago. She was still rooted at her place until Emily and Amber came to her and practically dragged her out of the classroom while their best friend was still in daze making both Amber and Emily chuckle at her over dramatic reaction. " Now will you tell what was that all about?" Amber asked agitated at her friend. She didn't want Sam to join their group, she didn't care if she had hit on a bad note with him in the beginning or whatever. But her best friend like always didn't listen to her which just made Amber sigh even more. " Ermmm..." suddenly Hannah became all shy, started fiddling her fingers as her cheeks crept a light shade of red. Damn she was blushing. Amber and Emily looked at her getting the gist of it now. It was just weird for them to believe what they were thinking was true so instead of jumping to any conclusion they waited for Hannah to say something and spread light at the topic but no words came out of her mouth making her friends more and more assured about their assumption. A smirk adorned at Emily and Amber's lips as they nodded at each other knowingly. " You like him don't you." both Amber and Emily said almost at the same time squealing and clapping their hands at realisation. " Well didn't I already tell you that guys." Hannah interjected while covering her ears as she didn't want her ears to bleed from her friends high pitched squeal. " Well you did..." Amber replied with a chuckle. " But we never knew you were so serious about him. " Emily completed what Amber was about to say. " You can't blame us when you literally get crush on every handsome face." Amber joked, both Emily and Amber laughing hysterically. " You meanies. You guys are bullies. "Hannah chided while huffing at her friends teasing. " Aww don't be over dramatic. We will help you. "Emily said while hugging Hannah sideways and giving her a toothy smile. " Yeah even though I don't like his narcissistic a*s still he is welcome in the group if you like him so much. " Amber said while embracing Hannah from other both Emily and Amber practically squeezing Hannah in the middle. But nonetheless Hannah was happy her friends understood her. " His nice a*s might be narcissistic but his face is right out of the movies. " Hannah retorted with a giggle as her friends just laughed at her exaggeration. " And guys shoot I forgot to tell you." Hannah said with enthusiasm bubbling with each word which made her friends even more curious. They looked eager at her to know what was it that made her so happy. " What is it?" both Amber and Emily questioned with anticipation which made Hannah giggle before a sly smile appeared on her lips. " I got his number." Hannah retorted while swinging her mobile in front of her friends. " I already have that Hannah you could have asked me. Remember that jerk and my mobile were exchanged." Amber reminded Hannah with a dud tone. " You silly girl. That's no fun. Him giving me the number is something else you." Hannah replied as she wiggled her brows. " Damn this girl is a weirdo. " Emily declared while laughing. " And WHIPPED for Sam. "Amber completed as both the girls hifi-ed bursting into laughter at their overly romantic best friend. Amber, Emily and Hannah didn't even realize that they had reached at the main gates of school and have been talking talking for almost ten minutes there until Amber received a call from Daniel. " Hey. " Daniel called her. " Oh Hi!" Amber responded waiting for Daniel to continue. " So how about You and Nick. Dinner at my home today?" Daniel asked anticipating a positive response. " Oh sounds cool." Amber agreed with a smile. It's wasn't anything different. Amber and Nick had always been close to Daniel's family given the fact that her father rarely used to have time with them to spend so both Amber and Nick used to play with Daniel at his home as they were practically neighbours for as long as they could remember. " Okay bye. See ya at 8?" Daniel spoke through the line to which Amber gladly agreed and the call was disconnected after both bid bye. " Alright should get going now." Emily said as she waved her hand. " And don't forget to text me Sam's number okay." she yelled as she was a little away from them. " Yeah sure." Amber told her. " One more thing..." and those words made Hannah and Amber wait for what was coming next. " Don't go around flirting at text Hannah. Poor boy might run away. " Emily yelled with a giggle and made run for her life as she knew if she would then today would be the last day for her on earth before her very own best friend Hannah would bury her and would happily throw a rose at her grave. " Yah!! What do you mean!!" Hannah yelled back at Emily but too lazy to chase her as Emily was already too far away by now. " Well she isn't wrong Hannah. You flirting skills suck." Amber " Excuse ME!! I AM A PRO!!" Hannah said while raising her invisible collar. " Yeah whatever sails your boat." Amber laughed and both Hannah and Amber bud each other bye before walking towards their destinations. Amber loved her friends. Being with them would always make her forget her worries. Mind you not because they were good at comforting but instead the exact opposite they would throw another at her or make her laugh so much that she would forget about the problem she was ever having. That was how chaotic they become when they are together. A faint smile crept on Amber's face as the joyful moments she ever had with her two best friends came rush back to her mind and it swelled her heart. Granted her life was a mess in many ways but Emily and Hannah made her strong enough to not fall in the hole of despair to never return. Sure she feels down sometimes or may be a lot of times but at the end of the day her friends and her annoying brother Nick which she hated to admit, always had pulled her up. She just wished she could say the same about her father. She had it known already that her father is a businessman and he had been all that hard work for her and Nick but still it didn't change the fact that she longed for her fathers time and she knew Nick felt the same even if he had never said it out loud but his eyes always spoke. And these were the times which always made Amber miss her mother more. Unconsciously her hand lingered on her infinite shape pendant that was her mother's and whenever Amber touched the pendant she felt like her mother was with her. She cherished the locket, it had become her habit to wear it everytime and would crease it whenever she felt low. " Miss you mom." a tear slipped from Amber's eyes as she quickly wiped it with back of her hand and entered at Daniel's home with a smile ending her monologue then and there not dwelling over the sad feeling anymore. She knew Nick would be already inside as she had already texted him about the plan and the boy couldn't be anymore happier at the chance of it but he was a big fan of food cooked by Daniel's mom.
