Chapter 35Jeremy entered the hunting shack. He was shoved from behind. Stumbling forward, he tripped over an ottoman. He went down hard. Again, he struck his knee. Ignoring the pain, he rolled over onto his back and looked up at the sheriff who loomed over him. The handgun was only a few feet away, but pointed directly at his forehead. “Jeremy!” Greta was handcuffed to a cast iron hot water radiator. Her hair was matted against her forehead.
