“Who do you think is my biological father, Manang?” tanong ni Clementine matapos umalis nina Attorney. She was left sitting for an hour. She did not move or even talk. She wanted to cry but she cannot. Her body was so used to crying that her tear ducts forgot how to function well. Hindi nagsalita si Manang. Her eyes were already puffy from all the crying she did. Hindi halos alam ni Manang kung paano i-co-comfort si Clementine dahil maging siya ay gulat. “Do you still have my grandma’s number?” tanong niya. Celestina’s mother is still alive in Davao. She might know a thing or two. The questions kept circling around her mind. ‘Did Mommy cheat? Or Daddy cheated with Quentin’s mother? Does she know about Quentin?’ she thought.
