Sastra could feel herself swaying towards the man, seduced by his words. By his unfailing confidence. The star lit sky felt light upon her skin, the river murmuring as it rushed past. In the distance, she could hear laughter and talk. Music entwined with the darkness itself. The tree shivered in the night and she imagined that she could see the heat from the distant sands, on the other side of the river rising up, lost into the sky. His voice was low, seductive as he watched her. She wet dry lips, her tongue feeling clumsy in her mouth before she looked away.
