The small village on the other side of the ferry crossing, had a tavern. Although it was tempting for the pair to stay and sleep, they’d managed to doze during the crossing and were eager to continue their journey onward, further from the reach of the King. Afterall, it was possible that a small party of soldiers could cross without incident and find them in a local tavern. Instead, they took advantage of a cooked meal for breakfast, and feeling that the world stretched out before them, mounted up once more.
