‘Lady Farview,’ Kivan bowed stiffly in the entrance and made no move to enter the room. Having been tired, and almost relaxed, Sastra found that her heart beat uncomfortably fast the sight of him. Her palms were sweaty, chest tight as though she’d been wrapped in corsetry. ‘Kivan,’ Sastra moved towards the man. How could she explain how good it was to see him, after missing him for the past ten days or two weeks, or whatever it had been. She’d missed him like she missed the touch of rain upon her skin.
