“Venom, pass me that device, please.” He points to a handheld device with a probe on it.
“I’m just going to listen to baby.” He says as he lifts her top and adds the gel and pushes the device onto Courtney’s belly.
I hear crackles, static when I hear it the fast whooshing sound and I sigh with relief.
“Baby’s heartbeat is great.” He removes the probe and wipes Courtney’s belly before pulling her top back down.
“Ok, baby is measuring what she should be. Her heartbeat is fine. Remember what I said. Bed rest and no more stress. Pregnant women have enough to stress about. I will be back tomorrow. For now, let her sleep. If anything doesn’t seem right, have Fabio call me right away.” He says as he stands and I shake his hand and thank him profusely.
Once the doc is out of the door, I turn
