“Mi dispiace, nonno.” She says so quietly and he hugs her back as he sobs onto her shoulder. We all watch, feeling their sadness. I look down at the floor as my phone vibrates and I take the phone out and smile softly at the text message.
My love: You need to take my credit cards away from me lol. I may have gone overboard. Love you, I know you’re busy with my grandpa. Could you ask someone to bring me some pickles and peanut butter, please? Lovvvvvvveeeeee yoooooouuu xx.
I chuckle after I read the text. I shake my head as I reply.
Me: You and your pickles, our daughter will come out green and sour lol. I will ask Max to bring you your treats. Love you too and I don’t need to take anything from you, Courtney, you spend what you want. I will be up soon, now rest and watch TV xx.
