Courtney POV.
I’m awoken by the sound of Kaden’s phone vibrating on the nightstand. I look over at Kaden as he sleeps. I shake his shoulder.
“Kaden, Kaden, wake up. Your phone is going off.” I say, not wanting to wake up Amelia. He grunts in his sleep and so I sit up and shove him hard and he jolts awake. Looking around the room for any signs of danger.
“Baby, what is it? Is it Amelia?” he asks, and he looks towards the crib. I shake my head.
“No, your phone has been going off. It woke me up.” Then the offending item starts vibrating again. Kaden gives me a sheepish smile and I move to climb out of bed. I walk to the crib and see Amelia is still sleeping. I smile at her.
“Hello.” I turn my head and see Kaden looking at me and his tone changes, which means only one thing. Chief is on
