I stand rooted to the ground as I look at my momma. How is she here? How is she alive? What the f**k is happening?
“Courtney, baby. Let me explain, ok? Stay calm, let’s sit down and I will tell you everything.” My momma says, a crack in her voice as she slowly and cautiously walks towards me with her hands up to show me she isn’t a threat.
I manage to remain calm as I watch her. I don’t feel sad. I feel f*****g angry that she would do this to us, to me! Why?
“Stay away from me. How could you do this?” I snap at her and she stops and just looks at me like I’ve just kicked her puppy. Well, f**k that s**t!
