I look up and see the doctor holding up a very pink, angry baby. Screaming her lungs out. I burst into sobs of relief as Kaden kisses me.
“You did so good baby, I’m so f*****g proud of you. Thank you, baby.” He is sobbing too. The doctor hands her to me and I hold her in my shaking arms. She is beautiful.
Dark hair like Kaden’s, but her eyes. Her eyes are mine. I sob as I hold her and try to calm her down.
“Hey, princess. It’s ok, shhhh. It’s ok. Mommy has got you.” I coo at her and she starts to settle down. Momma kisses my head with tears in her eyes.
