Kaden POV.
I wake up to Courtney, whimpering in her sleep. I pull her closer to me and try to calm her down. But it’s not working. If anything, it is making her worse. I try to wake her up.
“No,” she mumbles when she fights with me and I pin her down. When she screams Amelia! She jolts up and I scramble back as she looks around frantically, the sweat glistening on her chest. She moves off the bed and runs to the crib.
“Courtney, what’s wrong?” I ask, panicked as I move behind her and she sobs as she lifts up our sleeping daughter into her arms and holds her tight to her chest.
I wrap my arms around her, and she breaks down. She is shaking and I don’t say anything not until she calms down.
