Kaden POV.
“s**t!” I grab Courtney before she hits the floor. I try to wake her up, but she is out cold.
“You f*****g i***t! Couldn’t you have told her Wolf is ok before you told her he was f*****g shot!” Storm screams at me as I lift Courtney into my arms and walk with her back inside her room. Seeing the state of the bed. I groan.
“I know. Now clear the bed so I can lie her down and then get Chief.” I snap at Storm as he moves the goodies from the bed and pulls the quilt back as I settle her back down. I check her pulse and her pupils. Her breathing is normal. I move my hands to her bump.
My hands are shaking as I feel a kick. I breathe a breath of relief. I’m such a dickhead. I should have said what Strom just said. My brain didn’t engage before I opened my mouth.
