"Why didn't we just have the meeting at the office?" I complain again, glaring at all the people my eyes could catch.
"I don't wanna make it seem like an over serious business proposal Elle, it's a casual meeting with an old friend." My dad explains.
"There's nothing casual about discussing a planned/forced marriage." I point out matter-of-factly.
"Think of it as a family brunch," he makes a weird smile before uttering, "after all we are gonna be one." His smile settles on his face.
"I thought you hated Luke Hayes." I raised a brow at him.
He chuckles before responding, "Hate is a strong word. We're more of frenemies than enemies."
