The University was built on a very large land mass, of about two thousand one hundred and fifty acres landscape and with about seven entrances barricaded by large gates, and security outposts; it had one major entrance. Each entrance had the University's symbol and name brilliantly written on the top - welcome to the University of Science. In the environment, there were many large and beautiful structures housing faculties and departments, lecture rooms, laboratories, offices, churches, hostels, banks, social buildings, a transportation company, hospitals for both animals and humans, restaurants and a guest house. The roads were brilliantly tarred, flowers adorning the side walks, there were also staff clubs, staff quarters, recreational facilities, indoor and outdoor games facilities, swimming pools and stadiums. Many staff had spaces where they farmed as did the faculty of Agriculture, there were also some abandoned houses, and large unused spaces of land covered by overgrowth. From the main entrance, one could see the main security building at which far behind was located the University's high school. The Primary school was built somewhere else in the compound and all of these were built on large spaces of land. There were beautiful trees, fruit trees, palm trees, and personally owned trees in the compound. It is almost difficult but not impossible to walk from one entrance to the other. The University ran privately owned shuttle services which conveyed scholars to and around the school's environment, and the town at large. The town itself was a small village with the University taking up a large percentage of it's landscape. Sobrina entered a class she was repeating one morning for lectures and her eyes fell on an attractive guy. Emmanuel wasn't entirely her type, he was average in height, Sobrina preffered taller men. But she found the fact that he was fair and handsome very attractive. He was very friendly, easy to talk to, and wasn't reluctant to share his laptop with her during their leisure time. She started trying her luck with him - Sobrina was young, now in her late teenage years, wild and free. She was a highly independent girl, who thought a hundred words per minute but spoke less, she was an introvert, pretty as she was brown and curvy, with huge round firm boobs and medium sized back side, averaged in height, she had a great taste in fashion, always stylishly dressed. she'd found a new way of life in her first year, as a new university student who had been abandoned to care for herself by her parents. Her parents lacked the understanding of what students and especially girls suffered in the University, and/or didn't care about the girl child in general. Her being in the University was totally by her determination and making, hunger had driven her to find ways of survival. She became wayward as religious people - mostly her parents - called it. Always traveling from one happening town to the other in search for sustenance. Being pretty, she was easily favored by the path she had chosen. Now in her third year, she had returned to school, facing her studies seriously in the hope to clear the courses she had failed over the years. She was a very brilliant student, she had just returned from one of her trips to Lagunde, got an apartment which she furnished to her taste with the money she had raised during the vacation, and had faced her lectures with uttermost concentration. She had suffered a series of heartbreak, which made her decide never to love but date only for whatever gain is available. She mostly dated men she found by herself, each for a couple of weeks till she found another. That was when her interest was only s****l, for she had other much older men outside the school environment who she kept for the purpose of refilling her bank accounts when she needed to. She began inviting Emmanuel to her place, he would agree to come, but never did. He never changed his attitude towards her either. His refusal made her relentless because she wasn't the type to struggle with getting any man she wanted, in fact, they fell straight into her arms two minutes after she asked. But as much as he was relentless in refusing her subtle proposal, he was also relentlessly friendly with her. Sobrina couldn't understand the attitude. Emmanuel invited her to his church one day - a popular student's fellowship. She'd heard about them before she became a student, but was never interested as she was a non religious person, due to series of traumatic religious experiences she'd had as a teenager. She decided to accept his invitation, out of curiosity after refusing for sometime. She had lost all her skirts during a high way robbery a few years ago while returning from school to her family - it was an awful experience. One she rarely talked about. Now she couldn't decide what to wear, Emmanuel was very specific concerning the mode of dressing. She found one of her neglected old flay skirts and a white top, with a piece of clothe to wrap around her hair. And so it happened that one faithful Sunday afternoon, she found herself walking down the streets of the University, searching for the location of the fellowship Emmanuel had invited her to. As she walked, she remembered one of the traumatic experiences she'd had as a teenager, before she gained admission into the University. She was barely sixteen, an experience that had made her vow never to sing or listen to gospel songs again, and subsequently irreligious. She used to be a singer/song writer who started singing in her church's youth choir when she was twelve. Her age didn't matter because it was overshadowed by her height and body - she was an early bloomer. She was so good that when her family relocated to a different state, she started a choir for the youths in her new church. She was only fifteen by the time. She became so popular in her new church and locality that fellow students of her new high school called her "teacher" in respect. Most times, the choir sang songs she wrote and many of them became very popular among young people. Until one day, she had taken some food from her mother's pot to the church, to give to a boy who had become her friend as well as her family's. She didn't find him there and was trying to return home when his roommate confronted her, "Sobrina, listen to me, I am warning you. The next time you chase me around in my dream with a knife, will be the last time you breathe, I will make sure I kill you before I wake up".
