439 Words
Sobrina got depressed after months of struggling with her problem in school, which was two years after the year she was supposed to graduate. She was frustrated, she began to drink and smoke heavily for escape. She had AIDS, no home, no hope, and now no future? She took to social media from time to time to lament her frustration. Pastor Melvin was focused on his academics, there was no emotional or monetary help from anywhere, she began to look for solution desperately. She had heard about the rumors of the illuminati. It was scattered all over the Internet, how people who couldn't sing sold their souls to the Devil and received the ability to sing, be famous and rich. Someone had even done an exposition on the topic one time in church when she was still a Christian, years ago. She began researching for how she could do the same - sell her soul to the Devil. She found an article on the Internet that emphasized that one must not be afraid of the dark. In the city where she lived with Dove, she had a favorite spot, a place she liked to go, to be alone, smoke and gather her thoughts. It was located in the woods, over the mountain, by a lake, under an umbrella tree. She decided she would go there at midnight and ask the Devil to bring her own contract. She was ready to do what it took and she would remain there until he came, she would sell her soul in exchange for success. She was desperate to shame life and people who had been cruel to her - her parent's - before she exited the Earth. On that faithful day, she bought enough m*******a, took a heavy sweater and duvet, and left for her favorite spot in the evening. She climbed the mountain and arrived the top at approximately 7pm. There were ravens flying about the trees on the mountain, by the lake, when she arrived. She sat on a rock and waited while smoking. When it was midnight, she stood up and shouted. "Satan, bring me my contract, I am ready to sign it. I will wait here until you do". She waited until she began to doze. Asleep, a voice spoke in her mind. "All the while you were a Christian, did you ever see Jesus physically? Why do you think you will see Satan physically tonight. Go home and sleep Sobrina". She awoke and before she left, she shouted, "Satan, however you gave others their contracts, bring my own. I will be waiting!" And the next day, she miraculously found him.
