Sobrina fell terribly sick during the long vacation that followed. At first, it was just incessant coughing. She coughed for well over two months, then gradually, her health deteriorated so badly her parents were forced to take her to a mini clinic. She was treated without proper medical diagnosis, but she recovered nonetheless. Few months later, after she resumed at the University for the second semester of her second academic year, she decided to leave Randy, her love for him had waned. She had planned her exit from the relationship while on the hospital bed during the vacation, now fully aware of who he was and what he was capable of. She had left her damaged cell phone with Randy, who had promised he was going to fix it at home during the vacation. Sobrina decided she wasn't going to leave him without the cell phone, not after all she had suffered in his hands. It was a really expensive cell phone, which she had stolen many months ago from a wealthy business man, who had desired to make her acquittance for a night. She understood Randy had no intention of returning it to her, he was never the type to give back anything he took. When she returned to the University, she visited him like she used to, pretending she still loved him. On one occasion, while he slept, she took the cell phone which he had fixed as promised, and left. She went to the University's police station and made a report, she connected them with her father who was a police officer, and they followed her with more enthusiasm to have Randy arrested. She accused him of all he had done to her - stealing, abusive and for being a cultist. When they got to the gate of his compound, he approached her with anger in his eyes, demanding to get back the cell phone, just as she had anticipated. Sobrina made a sign to the Police men who were in plain clothes, sitting on the pavement of the Blue Corner Shop, and they swept him up. Their story was popular in the University of Science, and everyone congratulated her as she victoriously rid herself of Randy. He was forced to sign an undertaken for her safety, and both out of love and intimidation, kept his promise never to harm her.
