No matter how hard I pushed, I couldn't move him. Panting, I finally managed to say, "Lucas... About that night... I want you to forget it. Sara and I are still best friends, and you and Harry have been friends for years." Lucas burst into laughter as if I'd just told the funniest joke he'd ever heard. "Exactly," he said. "Harry's my buddy. That's why I'm here with you." His words nearly made me choke with anger. "Lucas, let me go!" I shoved hard against his solid chest, but he didn't budge. It felt like trying to move a brick wall. His hand slipped beneath the hem of my shirt, his rough palm gliding slowly along my waist. My whole body trembled. Without thinking, I drove my knee toward his stomach. "Tsk!" He winced in pain, his grip loosening for just a second. I seized the chance.
