"Maybe Zizwe will stay since he's the one you're trying to impress." I tell my ex boss and ex colleagues. "Don't be rude." Zizwe whispered in my ear. "So many people quit since I started working there was never a party for them. Why me? Even when the former supervisor quit I know you didn't throw a surprise farewell party for her. So what's so special about me?" I ask them. These people think they are smart. They just want to impress Zizwe. We all know that party has nothing to do with me. "It was a pleasure meeting all of you." Zizwe shakes my boss's hand and he nudges me towards the employee exit. I wave at them before we close the door. I let out a sigh of relief when the car stopped at our gate. I hope I don't regret my decision. But I can always find something to do part time.
