Before she arrived at our house for Christmas Eve dinner, worry consumed me. I really didn’t know what might happen. I had high hopes for the best, but tonight was the first time we were going to see each other since the breakup. So, it could have easily gone either way.
Luckily for me, my beautiful Lily is in my life again. We are friends, and almost everything feels right in the world. Nothing will be perfect until college is over, and Lily and I can start our lives together. For now, having her friendship back is enough.
