CHAPTER THIRTEEN Alison Alison curled up on her couch, pulled her feet up under her, and covered herself with a warm blanket. It was only seven thirty at night, and she was already yawning with exhaustion. Pregnancy was taking its toll on her. After a long day of bathing dogs, then one very long ice skating lesson in what she thought was an extra cold rink, she was freezing and ready for bed. Going to sleep at seven thirty felt wrong to her. Popping some popcorn, getting cozy on the couch, and turning to the television seemed like an okay compromise. Flipping through the menu, nothing caught her eye. There has to be something on to watch.
