Chapter Nine
Now What
It has only been a day, and Amber misses Matt already. She knows this is all her doing, but she is so unsure—she is miserable. She needs a little more time to sort it out. Matt did say he would call, and they would still have fun times together. She does not see how it can be the same right now. She needs to talk to Kelly. Kelly has given her good advice all the time. Amber hopes Kelly can do it once more.
When Kelly walks through the door, Amber has two glasses of wine ready. On the coffee table is a snack of cheese and crackers, along with the rest of the bottle of wine.
Kelly sees the set up on the table. “Let me guess, you decided to dump Matt, become a lesbian, and I’m the lucky girl.” Kelly tries to ease the situation with dumb humor.
