Richard Haggins let out a tiny sigh no louder than the squeak of a mouse as he continually scanned the jungle foliage for any signs of enemy movement. It wasn't that he was bored. If there was anything less boring to him it would be the military life. Growing up he felt like he never really belonged to his group of peers. While they were all talking about the latest hot rod or the hottest girl in school, he was busy reading up on The Great War. That was the life, he always imagined how exciting it must have been to try to cross No Mans Land or to be part of a flanking offensive in order to clear a trench out.
