Ups and Downs of Marriage

Chapter 8

A bright morning and a blaring alarm woke up Nancy from her deep sleep and as soon as she woke up; she held her head in her hands as it was paining like hell; at the same time, the door opened and Mahir entered with a cup of black coffee

Nancy saw him and ran and hugged him tight

N: mani ouch my head hurts badly 

M: of course it will, if someone drinks 10 shots in a go

N:10 shots!! Mani what did I do yesterday?? Did I do something wrong? 

M: you don't remember anything from last night do you?

Nancy nodded in a no making a very worried face

M: ok relax whatever happened let it be...

N: hmm 

M: now drink this and go and get ready fast...

N: Mahir you can't see me in that dress

M: what why? 

N: Mahir we can't see each other since the haldi ceremony so go 

M: Nancy, is this our wedding or Mahir torture program? You know I need to see your face

N: mr Maclery it's just a matter of few hours and then we are getting married tonight anyways

M:fine I am leaving

N: Mahir, I love you 

M: I Love you too

He pecked her cheek and then ran away to get ready

As he left Nancy got ready wearing a beautiful yellow saree 

She came down and Amms and Cilia mom were waiting for her for the Pooja to start... According the ritual the haldi was supposed to be coming from the Maclerys side so they were waiting for it; soon Nysa, Muna and Naira arrived with the haldi and all of them started the Haldi

First Amms put haldi on her arms, face and foot followed by Cilia mom who also put a bit on her nose making her pout and all of them giggled heartily at the mom-daughter kinda jodi; next Nysa applied it on her face and them made way from the friends Naira Muna and Carl Abeer to apply haldi on the bride properly....

Naira took a bit on her palm and applied it on and is face and whispered to her

Na: actually you don't even need this haldi, since Mahir's love is only making you glow

Nancy blushed and mukya moved aside giving space to Carl and Abeer they both came forward tool the bowl and smashed it all over Nancy; she had her mouth rounded in a perfect 'O' and all the friends together spread all the haldi all over her body as if laying Holi, Nancy struggled a lot to do the same to them too but could not win against the two bulldozers holding her, so she gave up and sat sulking... After the awesome Holi round 

C: so Nanz baby liked your haldi 

N: Carl what is this you had to put a little haldi on me not a tonne of it!!

Ab: come on baby doll!! Stop sulking and admit that you enjoyed it too 

N: ya I did! I love you guys

The two air hugged her from either sides not wanting the haldi to be spread on them too 

All this while some person no one noticed was a girl sitting at the corner making a very very bad face; suddenly Nanz saw her and her expressions and called out 

N: Preetika baby come here

P: no I don't like this dirty yellow paste, it's so yucky

N: baby at least come here to me 

Preetika went there and sat far from Nancy and the haldi 

N: baby this is not dirty it's just haldi, it makes you look more beautiful, 

P: no I don't like its smell

N: ok you don't put it then it's okay 

P: hmm 

Amms: Nanz beta now you have to go to your room and have a bath with all the things that I have kept there, you have to bath with milk first that I have filled in your tub so go n get ready 

N: ok Amms

Saying this Nancy walked to her room in hurry wanting to take off the heaps of haldi put on her by her evil brothers

As she reached the room, someone pulled her in and she was pinned to the wall 

She saw it was Mahir

N: Mahir what are you doing here you know na we can't see each other before marriage, then why did you come here?????

M: before jumping to a conclusion at least look at me, I have a blindfold around my eyes so I cant see you 

N: fine but why are you here

(Saying this Nancy too closed her eyes so she couldn't see him)

M: coz yesterday I had promised something to you

N: promise? Want promise Mahir? You know na I don't remember anything 

M: arey baba I had promised a kiss to you today 

N: what when? 

M: arey baba yesterday night when you wanted me to prove that I love you 

N: what Mahir no 

M: relax, I am here  to put haldi on you, on my wife,my life 

He bent down and put his hands on her bare tummy sending shivers throughout her body, he applied the haldi there slowly caressing her soft skin and his hand reached upto her blouse, he noticed her breath to be uneven and deep and smiled at the effect he had on her, next he slid his hands to her shoulder and unpinned the pallu of her saree making it fall down

N; Mahir

M: shhhh.. I am doing nothing, trust me 

She stood there surrendered as he put haldi, running his fingers from her shoulder to her fingers and then from her forehead to her cleavage that was a little exposed due to the blouse, he stopped there and then lifted her in his arms, somehow he took her to the bathroom and put her down in the tub; she with closed eyes pecked on his nose cheek and took some haldi from his hand and started applying it from under his shirt all over his well toned abs and was smiling feeling his shiver too... She dragged her hand upto his neck seductively slow 

M: Nancy stop right there or else I might open the blindfold and take you here 

N: Mahir!! 

M: ok I am leaving, will be waiting for you my lovely bride! Bye 

N: but Mahir how will you go back with a blindfold on!?

M: Carl will help me 

N: ok bye, I love you 

Mahir left and Nancy opened her eyes and blushed seeing her condition as her saree was hanging from her waist and was floating in the tub and her upper body was filled with the haldi 

She had a bath with all the herbal things given to her and then proceeded to rest for some time before the wedding
