Chapter 20

1173 Words
Lily had the impression that she was floating, despite the fact that this was physically impossible. As her eyes opened, she saw a chest covered in a black t-shirt take up the entirety of her field of vision. Aaron. "Wha-" A cursory inspection revealed that she was now located in the hallway of their apartment complex. "I didn't mean to wake you up." Because it made him laugh, I naturally assumed it was humorous. Since we are so near my house, I would appreciate it if you could come in. It's fine; I have no problem with walking. She fought against his hold on her in an attempt to break free of it and escape. Relax; there is nothing to worry about. He tightened his grip and drew her closer to him as he clinched his fists. She had her hand on his chest, and her fingers were spread out wide. His scent, which was a potent concoction of machismo and cigarette smoke, pounced on her olfactory system with full force. She repeated the action while resting her head on his chest, licking her lips between each attempt. She was clueless as to how he managed to carry her all the way to his apartment and unlock the door for her once they arrived there. He locked the door as a means of assuring her that she was free to go anytime she chose to do so. She made fun of him by joking that he was going to kidnap her and tie her to his bed if he didn't get his way. Don't put me in a position where I have to decide; both of those options seem enticing. He teased her in response, which made her feel even more awkward than she already did. Aaron helped her up onto his bed, which was located in his bedroom. When the smoke was removed, the odour of the clothing became much more noticeable. "Take it easy, and if you find yourself in need of my assistance, I'll be right here on the couch." She was taken aback when he did not continue the conversation that they had started at the club, and as a result, she stood up. Despite the fact that she had a restless night before because of how poorly she slept the previous night, she did not get the sleep that she had promised Cameron. She was juggling far too many thoughts in her head at the same time. "Wait-!" "Hm?" Are you able to vouch for the fact that you texted Cameron or not? "I did." She c****d her head to the side, bit the inside of her lower lip, and stared up at him through her eyebacks. In response to the question, "Could I possibly borrow some clothes?", She had pulled her legs up to her chest and was sitting upright in her bed at that point. After giving her question a fleeting thought for a split second, he strolled over to a dresser that was located on the opposite side of the bed. The second drawer he opened had a grey shirt, which he removed from the drawer after opening it. Put this on as you please. There is a very good chance that you won't be able to fit into my shorts. She crawled on her hands and knees and slipped to the edge of the bed in order to take the cotton T-shirt he was wearing. Please accept my gratitude. She rose up out of bed with a cheery disposition. In the event that you have to use the restroom, you can find it over there. Her attitude towards his statements was one of defiance, as she had anticipated. She believed that there would inevitably be some kind of romantic interaction. More than just a heated embrace in the entrance hall of a hip nightclub, It didn't matter to her that they had only just started talking or that he was attempting to hit it and quit it; neither of those things registered in her mind. While Cameron was giving birth, both of them would be sleeping with other people. She unfastened the back of her dress, and the cloth neatly collected around her feet and ankles to form a circle around them. Both of them took a long breath, and she could hear Aaron clenching his throat tightly. Those eyes of his were eating her up from the inside out. She was wearing her brand-new underwear set, which consisted of a bra and thong in black with black lace that was quite sheer and only partially covered her breasts. She quickly returned to his bedroom, donned the enormous shirt, which was plenty long to hide her derriere, and wriggled her way into his disguise before falling asleep. In accordance with the proverb, "Good night, Aaron." She yawned and stretched out while sitting on his pillow. She did not witness his reaction, but she did hear him say something inappropriate as he was leaving. Lily spent a little more than an hour in deep sleep. On the clock that was resting on Aaron's bedside, the time read 8:00 in the morning. She unwound herself from the comfort of his bed and sat up straight. As her eyes looked around the room, her body began the process of gradually waking up. A short while later, she went to the bathroom to clean up and make an effort to get her wild hair under control. She focused all of her concentration on the image of her shirt that was reflected in the mirror. She was curious about what it would be like to wear a man's shirt for the first time, so she slipped Cameron's on. Instead of purchasing one, consider borrowing one from a friend or relative. She benefited favourably from the influence. She silently changed back into her dress and left his room, deciding not to grab his shirt or don it on the way back to her apartment because she wanted to maintain her privacy. She found him reclining on the couch with only the lower portion of his body covered by a blanket. As she saw him sitting there with his legs dangling over the armrest, she couldn't help but feel horrible. She might have been able to sit on the sofa if there had been a bit more headroom. She stared at him for a few seconds before seeing that his face had become more relaxed and that he was no longer acting in a serious manner. She felt butterflies in her stomach, a sensation that she had only ever felt before when she was with Cameron. She felt like she was going to throw up. Her stomach sank. She quickly shook her head in an effort to determine whether or not that would be of any use before proceeding into the kitchen. In order to demonstrate her gratitude to Aaron for his hospitality and the fact that he was unable to sleep in like Cameron did, she prepared breakfast for him.
