My Zoe

463 Words
It was only for a moment. A brief moment that caused me to shoot up to my feet from where I was sitting in my office. Jackson looked at me, worried but I ignored him. I could feel her wolf. For a moment. She was there, confident and strong. I managed to catch the wolf's name. Zoe. I knew her wolf's name! The first clue! And she is strong. I could feel her heart, refusing to give up no matter what she was going through.  I looked at my hands and let myself be happy for this moment. She was trying to get to me.She was getting closer. I could feel that much. And then suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my gut and I gripped the edge of my desk to stop myself from falling over. She was stopped... I could sense the new danger she was in and fear rose in me.  Then my brain started firing possibilities at me. I really thought about it. Any clues that could lead me to her. When we met, I had been so consumed in her beauty I hadn't really taken in her outfit. My eyes snapped up to meet Jackson's. "Make me a list of the... five poorest packs we have in Angel City." He hesitated so I growled. "Now!" He nodded fast and quickly started writing. I would have done it myself but right now, all I could think about was her. My princess. My Luna. My Angel. And now? I was happy I knew one of their names.   My Zoe... Cortez sounded both in pain and and also very happy. I have no idea how he managed that.    I didn't even have to respond to know he could feel my happiness. My determination doubled in that moment. I will find her. Jackson handed me the list and I looked it over quickly.   Orchid Moon Lapis Moon Ebony Moon Juniper Moon Rose Moon   I crossed off the Lapis Moon, we already eliminated them. Then I knew I could cross out Ebony Moon, they were one of my packs and if they would have been keeping my mate hostage, I would have known. So that left Orchid Moon, Rose Moon, and Junipter. What I found ironic about this combination, was that they were all allied with one another. Well, Rose was allied with both. But the other two weren't allied with each other. If I split up my hunters evenly, we should have enough people to storm all three places. But I didn't. Because the second I saw the name Junipter, I just knew. Don't ask me how. It was a feeling that was strong though, so I circled it. "Juniper Moon. Send the hunters there." I commanded and he nodded, pulling out his phone to message them. I was twitching nervously. And that's when the pain started again.
