Chapter 1

The begining

Charles Smith is a young musician who has keen interest in music he always sing and post his songs on social media with the hope of being promoted by a promoter/ already famous musician

Charles Smith has a girlfriend who's name is Jenny Adams. Charles Smith cherished her alot but she only sees him as a side chick but she fakes her loyalty to him because she knows that Charles Smith is gonna be a famous musician in the future

Charles Smith was sitting in the living room in his old house sitting on a coach wearing a whiteT-shirt and a black trouser with a black slippers holding up his phone in his hands looking at the news headlines on his phone his girlfriend was sitting on the bed in the bedroom at that time Charles stood up and went to meet her

Charles : Hey babe

Jenny : what's up

Their conversation was interrupted with the knock that came on the door

At first three Was silence then Charles asked

Charles : Are you expecting any one

Jenny : No I will go and check it she said.

But Charles drew her back and said you are a girl sit down and let me check who this sudden visitor is

Jenny : okay baby ?

Charles got to the door step and opened the door only to find the land lord outside he was scared at first but he later mustered the courage to greet him

Charles : Hello

Land lord : I am not here to greet you I am here to tell you that I'm giving you three ( 3 ) months to pay my rent fee or else I will send you packing out

Charles : sir please I'm so sorry about the delay but please extend it till five ( 5 ) months time I will surely pay it all

Land lord : I have said what I have to , but why is it only you , you always seek five extra month to your time do you know why I haven't sent you packing ? It's because I pity you but your rent 7 month overdue yet you are asking for five month extension you'd better respect yourself and pay my rent before three months

After her speech he left in anger Charles Smith was already at the verge of crying but he held himself because of his girlfriend he got inside and realize the changes in her mood. And asked

Charles: what are you thinking about

Jenny: I'm just thinking about our financial situation Why don't you go to Mark place today maybe he's going to help in talking to Mr Alex because I'm tired ? of all this

Charles: all right I'll go but promise me that you will stop thinking because if anything happens to you I won't forgive myself

Jenny : okay I promise just go

Charles kissed her forehead and told her not to worry and then he went to Mark house with complicated emotions.

After getting to Mark place , Mark door was locked outside so he called mark and mark picked up after the fourth ring . . . . . . . .

Hello I'm at your door said Charles

I'm not around right now but I'm on my way back it might take me two hours before I'm back okay

? Said Mark

Okay bro I'll come by in the evening ?

They exchanged some words before cutting the call.

Mark did not go back home directly because of his girlfriend he sat on a street chair near a newspaper shop then he saw an article that says Alexander Stars competition

He bought the paper and took it home to find out that the competition starts the next day after going through it then he quickly take out his phone from his pocket and went to open the portal for registration through the link that's written on the article he registered quickly and told his girlfriend about it and it brightens their mood that day .

Charles Smith has been practicing all night , so he went to the auditorium where the top three star is gonna be chosen .

Charles Smith was at the entrance when he saw

Called his name but mark didn't hear so he took his phone and called his number , after the third ring mark picked the call

Mark : hello?

Charles : look at your left side

Wow ! What are you doing here mark asked

Of course I'm here for the competition - Charles

You're not supposed to register Mark said with a disappointed expression

Why can't I register ? Are you still my friend - Charles

Don't think too much it's just that I already registered your name to the competition so your name is going to appear twice - Mark

Charles : you mean it ?

So what are we going to do

Mark ; I'll go and meet the executives

Charles : be quick
