I wake up late in the morning and hurry to take a shower.
Getting ready, I take my phone and bag and run downstairs.
"Slow down there, Eve!" I hear Mom say as I run down.
"I am late, mom!" I say going to the table.
"Let's just go." I tell Ashton panting.
"Finish your breakfast first." He says gesturing to the breakfast spread on the table.
Doesn’t he know that we are late? Why does he look like there are still hours left before school starts?
"Noo! We are already late. Let's just go." I hurry him standing beside my seat.
"It's okay. There's time to sit down and eat first." He says with a cold ask as if telling me, "Do what I say and eat."
"Yeah. Eat a little, then go. Come on, don't waste time. Sit down." Mom says, serving me some juice. I whiningly sit down and start to eat.
