Chapter 3

727 Words
Jada’s POV- I feel the carriage come to a stop, this was it we’ve arrived. My mother bats my knees to wake me “Jada get up we’re here, you better not do anything stupid. And for the love of god please don’t speak just leave the taking to us no one wants to hear you annoying voice” I learn a long time ago I’m to be seen and not heard never heard, I nod to my mother and we exit the carriage. The castle is like none I’ve seen before it’s twice the size of ours it’s breath taking, I look the the entrance and there’s servants everywhere obviously setting up for the wedding some head our way they grab my bags and head in, a man come towards us “Good evening King and Queen Broffet, hope the journey wasn’t too bad shall we head in the King and Queen are awaiting your presence” my family follow him in I stay behind to look around It’s surrounded by meadows, the gardens are filled with all different kinds of flowers it’s beautiful “You must be Jada” I turn to see who it was “Hi I’m Tilly” she smiled and put her hand out, she was beautiful her hair was a platinum blond it looked almost white, she was very pale in complexion but that just made her sea blue eyes even more mesmerising. I shook her hand and smiled “Nice to meet you Tilly” I’m not really sure how to speak to other people like what things are you meant to say to someone you just met and what if I say something and it offends her “You have a beautiful home” is that really the best I can come up with, she giggled “Yes I guess it is” I really need to practice my conversational skills this is painful “Welllll we better get you inside they’ll be wondering where you are” she interlocks her arm with mine as we walk to the study together. The inside is just as gorgeous as the outside, high ceilings and marble floors, gold detailing and diamond chandeliers this is very different to the kind of palace that I grew up in. We enter the study my parents are sitting across to who I can assume are Damon’s parents, his mother is breath taking, her dark black hair drapes perfectly across her shoulders and down her back, she’s darker in tone than Tilly my guess she gets that from her father but she definitely gets her eye colour from her mother there the same sea blue as Tilly’s but hers look more deep as if it’s a glimpse as to what the bottom of the ocean may look like, beautifully frightening. His father has quite a unique facial structure, oddly attractive but I cannot pin point the attraction, his hair is also dark, it’s perfectly cut as any kings hair would be, his eyes drag your attention to his face there almost a golden yellow. I look away I feel like I’ve been awkwardly staring at them for a while “Good evening Jada, I’m King Einar me and my wife would like to welcome you to our kingdom” “Thank you it’s lovely to be here” I go to sit in the chair next to the window. The kings are discussing trading writhing the kingdoms and the Queens are taking about non interesting things. I must say the view from the window is stunning you can see the meadow in the distance, the sun dances through the trees as the grass sways with the wind, it’s peaceful here. I turn as someone enters the room he’s tall and rouged looking, his eyes are the first thing to catch my attention they’re a honey gold flicks of gold blend through then with slight brown tints, his hair is a shade of brown somewhere between a dark and mousey brown, his face is chiseled, sculpted perfectly, he’s slightly tanned in tone “Ah yes finally” I look over to King Echethier “Damon it’s nice for you to finally join us” so this man is the man I’m about to marry, I mean I could do worse “Yes better late than never” by the tone and look on Queen Echethier face she’s obviously not happy. The King heads in my direction well here it goes introduction time.
