Chapter Five

Today the list is supposed to be posted on who made the team. I already dropped the kids off with Chanel so I'm on my way to school.

"Girl I'm looking at the list and you ain't on it".Tae said into the phone causing me to almost hit the car in front of me.

"What you mean I'm not on the list". I ask scrunching up my face.

"Exactly what the f**k I said". He said causing me to smack my lips.

"You know what b***h keep that same energy when I pop up on your ass". I said hanging up the phone pulling into the school parking lot.

Getting out of the car I grab my bag locking the door before walking in the school. Looking around I see Tae at his locker so I walk over there and start hitting him.

"Ahh alright stop". He said blocking my hits as we laughed.

"Yea b***h". I said backing away from him and opening my locker taking what I need out.

"No but foreal Ari you wasn't on the list". He said and I nod closing my locker when the bell rung.

"Tell Ms.gina I'm gone be late". I said and he nodded walking away.

Turning around I head towards the gym and look on the wall where the paper was to see that I indeed wasn't on the list. Snatching all the papers off the wall I storm into the gym to see the guys doing warm up.

"Damn ma can I get some of that". One of the players asked causing everybody to look over at me including the gym teacher.

"Don't even play you will never get any of this". I said rolling my eyes before meeting coach halfway.

"What in the f**k is this coach". I said holding up the papers I tore off the wall.

"It look like the papers it took me 5 minutes to put up". He said laughing like it was a joke.

"b***h YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY". I yelled smashing the papers into his chest.

Grabbing my shirt he yanks me into him making me follow him and I look around seeing all the basketball players watching us.

"Are you crazy man don't ever do no s**t like that again". He said holding on to my waist slightly squeezing it.

"Why am I not on the list". I asked folding my arms ignoring what he said.

"Did you even f*****g look at the list". He asked leaning against the desk.

"Of course I looked at the f*****g list coach". I said rolling my eyes.

"It's southside and look at the back". He said pointing to the papers.

Shuffling through the papers I look at the back and I see my name with the words varsity and captain. Looking up he was already looking at me.

"I'm sorry I really didn't see my name". I said looking between him and the papers.

"It's cool now you owe me a kiss". He said causing me to look at him crazily.

"A kiss nigga are you out of your mind". I ask causing him to laugh.

"Nah im not". He said grabbing me and placing a long passionate kiss on my lips.

"Alright now get out for the boys start to wonder what's going on". He said turning me around and smacking my butt leaving me shocked.

"Go to class Ariana". He said opening the door and I walked out leaving the gym.

Walking Into Ms.gina class I go and take a seat by Tae.

"So what happened did he put you on the team now". He asked looking up from his phone once I sat down.

"I was already on the list but I was in the back". I said pulling out my notebook.

"Well s**t I didn't see it". He said with a shrug and I nod agreeing.

"But something did happen". I said and he looked over at me.

"What". He asked placing his phone on the desk.

"He kissed me". I whispered in his ear since there were a lot of nosy people around us.

"Did you kiss him back is the real question". He asked with an raised eyebrow.

"I mean of course I did you wanted me to leave him hanging". I asked with a small laugh.

"you know what b***h". Tae said laughing while shaking his head.

"We want to know what's funny". Toya one of latishas friends said.

"b***h that lace front that's coming up". Tae said turning around causing the whole class to laugh.

"Tae don't start it cause you know how you and Ari get". Ms. Gina said and he sighed before turning back around.

"Now let's get back to work shall we". Ms.Gina said turning back to the board.

"You're dead". Tae turned around and mouthed causing me to laugh and turn him back around. 

"Stop messing with that little girl". I said copying notes off of the board.

"No she need to stop messing with us". He said laying his head on my shoulder.

"She gone get enough of talking". He said causing me to shake my head.

"Tae". Ms. Gina said in a warning to pointing to him.

"Okay dang gina". He said and for the rest of class it was quiet.
