I got lost three times while finding my way to my room. The school was pretty large and it had many corners and pathways. On my fourth attempt after I had retraced my steps back to the dining hall, I happened to spot Jefferson amongst a group of young adults. I was hoping to ignore him and walk away but he happened to see me too.
“Yoh” he shouted after me “Hey…”
I paused then slowly turned around.
“Hey” I sighed
“I thought I would never see you again” he beamed “did you get the answers you needed?”
“No” I replied “I see you’ve made some friends already”
“Elementalists” Jefferson smiled “They say telepathic gifts are quite rare, and valuable”
“Good for you”
“You don’t…”
“I prefer to walk alone” I snapped “and you should get going, your friends are waiting….impatiently”
