Twenty minutes later, we sat silently as we watched the video of Michael’s father getting killed for the second time.
The video starts with Dante Marcus welcoming some men into his living room. The men take out a picture and show it to Michael’s dad after which he appears to hug the picture. They talk for a couple of minutes before an argument starts . Dante Marcus appears to reach for something under his belt before all the other men in the living room pull out their guns. They shoot him several times, a couple of times in fact then they leave him already dead.
I felt shattered after I watched the video, I felt sorry for Michael. I remember him telling us that Dante Marcus was his only remaining piece of family. Just imagining how hard it was for Michael moved me to tears.
