It didn’t take a genius to see that neither Kylie nor Sally had ever sat on a horse. She marvelled at how they’d got up there at all. “Stand here,” she ordered, lining them up in front of her and releasing the reins. “We need to do some groundwork first, so you’re more confident.” She bit back the truth at the last minute. They needed to do groundwork, so they stopped looking like terrified victims anticipating a zombie attack. And she’d noticed Sally hadn’t fastened her riding hat properly. “I’ll help you dismount and then we’ll run through the exercises.”
