Shaun was in the middle of a meeting when the end-of-day bell rang.
He paused for a moment.
Who didn't know that President Hayes was a workaholic?
Immediately, everyone in the room began to show their loyalty.
"President Hayes, let's continue the meeting. We're not in a hurry."
"Yeah, the company is like my home! I can work until midnight."
"Right, finishing this discussion is more important than leaving on time."
Listening to their voices, Shaun couldn't help but chuckle.
He did tend to work tirelessly, day and night.
But today, he had promised that little girl he would be home by six to take his medicine.
"Alright," Shaun said gently. "The meeting is over. No one is allowed to work overtime. Go home."
With that, he stood up first.
The employees exchanged puzzled glances.
What was going on? President Hayes not working overtime?
This... this was like the sun rising from the west!
A few couldn't resist and actually glanced out the window.
Unaware of everyone's shock, Shaun got into the car in a great mood.
The little girl should be out of school by now.
When he got home, he should be able to see her.
For some reason, thinking about this made him inexplicably happy.
Hayes Family Estate.
Shaun entered the hall and looked around, but he didn't see the little girl. He couldn't help but ask Uncle Fox, "Where's Elena?"
Uncle Fox quickly replied, "Miss Miller hasn't come back yet."
Hasn't come back?
Shaun frowned but then relaxed.
Elena had said she would be back by six o'clock to supervise him taking his medicine. So, she would definitely be back by six.
Thinking this, Shaun picked up some documents and started reading.
Soon, it was six o'clock.
Elena still hadn't come home.
Shaun felt a slight uneasiness in his heart.
He stood up abruptly.
"Uncle Fox, get the car ready. I'm going to pick Elena up."
He hurried to arrange for the driver. Soon, Shaun left in his car.
Uncle Fox's eyes showed a hint of something unusual.
Ever since that incident, the Young Master had always seemed indifferent to everything.
But now, it seemed like he was quite interested in this girl named Elena Miller.
At the entrance of Brightsun Elite High School, the driver got out to inquire about Elena's whereabouts.
Shaun sat in the car, waiting anxiously.
After a while, the driver returned, looking a bit hesitant.
"What is it?" Shaun asked.
The driver whispered, "Someone saw Miss Miller with a boy. They were talking about going to a hotel."
A hotel?
Shaun was momentarily stunned.
"Ahem," the driver coughed awkwardly. "Kids these days mature early. It's actually quite normal."
Shaun narrowed his eyes, a cold glint flashing in them.
"Impossible."
Elena had promised to come back and make sure he took his medicine. She wouldn't let anything stop her from coming home.
Seeing his dark expression, the driver didn't dare say more.
He cautiously asked, "President Hayes, what should we do now?"
Shaun's hand tightened slightly, veins popping on his fist.
In a cold voice, he said, "Find out. I want to know which hotel it is!"
Meanwhile...
Elena was shoved into a hotel room.
"Boss, have fun!"
A group of people winked and grinned at Donahue before closing the door behind them.
As soon as the door closed, Donahue reached out to grab Elena's hand.
She dodged, her face showing displeasure.
Donahue chuckled.
"Elena, are you trying to play hard to get with me?"
Elena stared at him coldly.
"I've already come to the hotel with you. Now, can you let me go? I have things to do and can't waste time here with you."
"Leave?"
Donahue laughed.
"We haven't even done the most fun thing yet. Why are you in such a hurry to leave?"
With that, he lunged at her.
Elena let out a cold laugh and kicked him away.
Despite being a six-foot-tall man, Donahue had no ability to resist and was sent flying by Elena's kick.
Donahue hit the ground hard, his head spinning.
Elena swayed gracefully as she slowly walked towards him.
She lifted her foot and placed it lightly on his chest, a hint of malice flashing in her eyes.
"What did you say you wanted to do to me?"
Even though her foot barely applied any pressure, Donahue felt as if a thousand-pound weight was pressing down on him.
A wave of unexplained fear washed over him.
He shouted, trying to sound tough.
"My dad is Jaxon Olson! You'd better let me go."
"Jaxon Olson? Even if your dad was the king of the world, it wouldn't matter."
Elena sneered, ready to give him a good beating.
But suddenly, she felt dizzy, and her movements halted.
Donahue seized the opportunity, scrambling to his feet.
Elena had no time to deal with him now.
She felt strange, like she was burning up.
A heat was rising slowly through her body.
This sudden wave of heat made her feel like she was about to collapse.
Seeing her condition, Donahue's confidence surged.
"Haha, good thing I planned ahead! Elena, whatever you did to me, I'll repay you a thousand times over."
Donahue walked step by step towards her.
Elena looked at his twisted face and, for the first time, felt a hint of panic.
She had underestimated him!
She never expected that Donahue, just a student, would resort to such despicable means!
"Is this the place?"
Shaun's voice was like a brewing storm.
"Yes."
The driver wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and said,
"Someone saw a group of boys dragging Miss Miller into this hotel."
Shaun's eyes turned icy as he got out of the car and headed straight into the hotel.
"Hello, around 5:45 PM, a few students checked in. Can you tell me which room they are in?" the driver asked the receptionist.
The receptionist didn't even look up.
"Sorry, that's private information. I can't disclose it."
The driver was about to say more.
Shaun, with a blank expression, called over his bodyguards.
"Go, drag her out for me."
The bodyguards didn't hesitate and moved immediately.
The receptionist was terrified and screamed,
"Wait, what are you doing? This is illegal, you know that?"
"Shut up."
Shaun said coldly, giving her a chilling glance.
The receptionist's heart skipped a beat, and for some reason, she didn't dare to speak.
"That guy blocking the way, his name is Donahue," someone whispered.
Another person quickly hacked into the computer to check his room records.
But they found nothing.
Shaun looked coldly at the receptionist.
Trembling, she said,
"Are you looking for our Young Master? I... I won't tell you anything..."
This hotel was owned by the Olson Family.
Donahue had caused countless troubles here.
Shaun's eyes turned icy.
He said coldly,
"Call everyone. Lock down the hotel! Then, break into each room, one by one!"
"Yes, sir."
Shaun's men responded immediately.
The receptionist's face turned pale.
"You... you can't do this..."
With a single look from him, someone gagged her and threw her into a corner.
Then, Shaun called in more people, surrounding the hotel completely.
Others brought tools and started breaking down doors.
The hotel descended into chaos.
"Who are you people? What do you want?"
"Where are the hotel staff? Where did they go?"
"Do you believe I'll call the police?"
Shaun ignored all these voices.
As long as he confirmed that Elena wasn't there, he would move on to the next room.
Finally, he walked into a room.
The curtains were tightly drawn, and the lights were off.
Not a single ray of light could be seen.
"Mmm... mmm..."
There seemed to be a sound of someone struggling and calling for help from the corner.
Shaun's pupils contracted.
He quickly turned on the light with a snap.
