Adriana's POV
Hearing Juan's words shattered me, and tears streamed down my face. My father was the only family I had left and if anything were to happen to him, my world would crumble to dust.
No one had been able to locate my father since his kidnapping, and I felt cornered with no other options. I knew only Diego had the best resources to find him so I decided to wait till the next day to ask for his help.
“What are you saying Diego?” I asked, my voice trembling with suprise at his suggestion. I knew he despised me but I never imagined he would stoop so low as to exploit my vulnerability and humiliated me. I couldn't bear the thought of degrading myself further.
