Adriana's POV
The moment the gun was fired, I covered my ears with my hands and shut my eyes tight. I remained on the ground, eyes closed, when I began to hear someone shouting.
I opened my eyes to see the boy struggling against Diego's men. “Let go of me,” he shouted, fighting back as three of Diego's men held him down and seized the gun. Rodrigo was about to pull the trigger when Diego intervened.
“Just tie him up. I will kill him myself,” he muttered under his breath. “I swear, I'll give him the worst death possible,”
Diego began gasping for air, and Rodrigo, along with few of his men, rushed over to him, applying pressure to his stomach.
“Boss, you're bleeding profusely. You need to go to the hospital,” Rodrigo urged. But Diego shook his head defiantly, ordering them to take him
