Vulnerability One stabbing, one dead body, and one long September night of canvassing for witnesses followed by filling out paperwork had left Tristan feeling more than a little frazzled. He was stuck on the graveyard shift this week, and that put him on a completely opposite schedule from Brian. As Tristan started for home, he found himself heading a different direction. Home, as much as he loved that house, meant empty rooms and an empty bed.
