I just about snarled at my phone the next morning when I grabbed for it. It was a mess of text messages. Arlene sure worked fast; I’d have to remember to nominate her for Busybody of the Year Award.
Ray: You good to come in today? Heard about the accident.
Kris: Just heard you and Joe broke up!!!!! I thought you guys were so great together, did he say something to you??
Evan: Out of the Aether was all hype btw, subpar imho
Evan: also I know you were worried about me closing the shop last night but everything went fine
Evan: you guys hit a deer? you ok?
Evan: umm and I just heard you broke up with Joe, you alright?
