Nyla's pov

The driver bows to us and then takes our bags placing them in the trunk as we get in the backseat of the BMW, Most of the ride is an uncomfortable silence as I scroll through my phone and write in my job book. I can't believe I have to play good princess for a week and push my jobs off, this is annoying but if daddy finds out about my work then I'll probably be chained to my room. I huff laying my head on the window as my phone blows up from my clients, Luke glances at me then looks out the window lost in his own world. I really hope his actions weren't in the heat of the moment, I mean he may be a cocky ass but I have had a crush on him since daddy hired him. If I am forced to have a man at my side to get my crown then I hope it's him. after an eight-hour drive, the driver taps the partition window letting us know we have arrived at the pack house.

I look up seeing a beautiful log cabin-style mansion with red and orange tulips lining the driveway and up the cobblestone path to the main door. I put my book and phone in my purse as two pack members open our doors, one with dusty blonde hair and crystal blue eyes smiles at me as Luke stands by my side with his hand in the small of my back. He is very different from Luke's jet black hair and green eyes, although luke is taller than his 6 foot 3-inch self by a few inches.

The young man bows to me and smiles. " Princess Nyla it is a pleasure to have you here for the week, My name is Jackson I'll be escorting you to see the Alpha in the morning." I nod as Luke shakes his hand another fairly large pack member follows us in with our bags as Jackson shows us to our room. "Dinner is in one hour in the main hall and just ring the bell by the door if you need anything the omegas will help you, but they are off duty after eleven pm, you are more than welcome to the kitchen if you need anything." Luke watches him lean on the door way as he speaks to me. "I also recommend that you stay with your bodyguard at all times, there have been rogues spotted in the area, and although our guards are well trained we want to see you safe, you are free to roam the pack lands." I smile as he bows and leaves the room, Luke walks up behind me and plays with my hair making me shiver from his ridgid touch. "Were you enjoying talking to your boyfriend?"

I smack his hands away and meet his gaze seeing a jealous look in his eyes, I put my hand on his chest. "He's not my boyfriend, and I don't get what your issue is anyway, it's not like you and I are dating." He grabs my wrist and pins me to the wall kissing me then pulls away looking into my eyes. "Your father gave us permission so I'm claiming you as mine." I blush smiling like a schoolgirl. Finally. He kisses me again and then lets me go, I stare at him for a few minutes then realization washes over me like a bucket of ice water. "My dad knows! And he gave permission? When did that happen?" He laughs as I stumble through my questions then kisses my cheek. "Your cute when your confused, let us get ready for dinner and I want you to wear this so the unmated males know you are taken."

He hands me a small red velvet box then walks into the bathroom mumbling to himself, I open it finding a thin rose gold chain bracelet with a pink diamond lock dangling from the clasp. He comes out dressed in a formal suit and red dress shirt then hands me a black and red dress with lace lining the trim just below my knees and black stilettos. He looks out the window as I sit on the bed and struggle with my corset, He peeks over and smiles seeing my fruitless fight with the leather tie, he shakes his head walking over, and stands me up. "I got the straps tangled when we were sitting in the car." I lean my head on his firm chest defeated as he fixes the straps and then unties them, I let out a breath resting my full weight into his chest as he throws the corset onto the bed exposing my bare skin to the cool air of the room, he rubs my back as I sit back down and pull my boots off. "Thank you sweetie."

He smiles walking back over to the window as I get dressed and look at my hair seeing he braided it, I glance at him as I secure the braid and fix my makeup to better match my dress. There is a knock at the door and Jackson steps in smiling. "Are you ready for dinner? The Luna is waiting to meet with you the Alpha will be back in town in the morning." I take Luke's arm as we walk to the dining room and greet everyone. "Luna Rin it is very nice to see you again." I lean in for a hug and whisper in her ear. "I see those herbs really helped, you're positively glowing." She smiles handing me a new ingredients list, and I slip it into my purse as a tall young man steps up behind her. "This is my son Clyde next to be Alpha." He bows his head and then looks at the bracelet on my wrist annoyed. "It's nice to meet you Princess and your escort for the night."

He forces a smile as Luke wraps his hand around my waist pulling me closer to him as he and Clyde glare at each other. Luna Rin walks us over to our seats as the omegas bring out dinner. An hour later I set my wine glass down and excuse myself from the table and head for the bathroom, I get into the hallway when a pair of large hands grab me pulling me back into his firm chest. I look up seeing Clyde's hazel eyes staring down at me. "Hey, sexy what are you doing out here all alone?" He leans down close enough that I can smell the scotch on his breath, I try to push off of him as he spins me around and pins me to the wall with his toned body. "Please get off of me I don't want there to be any trouble." He chuckles sliding his teeth up my neck as he grabs my breast roughly causing me to shake, my eyes glow deep crimson red as I grit my teeth then uppercut him in the jaw, knocking him back into the wall behind him as Luke comes into the hall and pulls me to him shielding me with his wings.

"Nyla baby, are you ok? What happened?" Luke looks at me as I fix my dress then at Clyde rubbing his jaw. "You touched my girl!" He yells at Clyde tightening his grip on my waist. Clyde leers at me then steps up to Luke. "She is an unmated woman, which makes her free game. The whole room can smell her arousal." Luna Rin steps into the hall quickly figuring out what happened. I tap Luke on the chest as my eyes glow brighter and I blush, I step up to Clyde and catch him with a left hook knocking him out, then stride for the bedroom rubbing my fist in my other hand.

Luke locks the door as I kick off my heels and throw my purse onto the table. "That dirty bastard, ugh!" Luke walks up to me and unzips the back of my dress as he kisses me possessively, I wrap my arms around him as my dress drops in a puddle around my feet, I open my lips letting his tongue invade my mouth. There is a light knock at the door, Luke pulls on some pants and opens it seeing Luna Rin crying, He lets her in and brings me my robe hanging it on the door for me then sits down at the table by the window, she sits on the couch at the foot of the bed. "I'm sorry about my son, he will not be allowed near Nyla again nor will he be coming to the celebration, Alpha Tracer is angry and disgusted by his horrid behavior." I come out of the bathroom drying my long hair with a towel, Rin runs over and hugs me tight. "Are you ok Nyla? I am so sorry if I knew that was going to happen; I would have sent him on guard patrol." I grab her arms and sit her on the bed. "Ok, ok first breathe second I'm fine, and third, if he did come near me again I would break his jaw in front of the pack, and the Alpha cause you know I don't put up with that shit." She nods as Luke hands her a tissue and then steps into the bathroom.

Jackson steps into the room and bows to us. "Luna Rin, Princess Nyla the guards heard about what Prince Clyde did and put him in the pack hospital, he will live but the Alpha came home early so that might not last." Rin stands up still crying as I grab shorts and a T-shirt and rinning into the bathroom coming out dressed with Luke and we all run downstairs to the driveway seeing the Alpha head for the pack hospital. Rin runs over grabbing his arm, pulling his attention to us, he looks over at us with his gold wolf eyes then down at his pleading wife and pulls her into a tight hug. "Princess Nyla, are you ok?"

I nod as Luke shakes his hand. "I already knocked him out, please, you don't need to do anything else." He holds Rin tighter then looks me over. "If that's what you want, I'll leave him alone" He kisses Rin's head." Calm down darling I won't hurt him, I think the guards did enough of that, but he will be apologizing to Nyla for his foul actions, to Luke for disrespecting them both, and to Rin for upsetting her like this." We all head back to the packhouse and sit down at the bar in the kitchen, I look around at the elegant dark wood countertops and stainless steel appliances. I can tell they remodeled since I was last here a few years ago.

"So Nyla, how have your jobs been going?" Luke looks at me irritated then grabs us all drinks. "Work has been steady I actually need some help, I'm falling behind because of this trip." He taps the counter with his knuckles smiling. "Just borrow a few of my guards to take the delivery jobs, you can have the ones who stood up for you." I pull out my job book as the five guards walk into the kitchen. "Perfect timing boys, the Princess has a few jobs for you guys." They walk over and bow as I explain the jobs and conjour the artifacts with payment for each of them. "Thank you, Princess we will leave right away" They each bow again and then head out, I sit back down looking through my job book as I sip my wine rubbing Luke's thigh. "So Alpha Tracer how was your trip?" He folds his hands in front of him looking at the counter. "It was boring old busniess meeting about boarder patrol, I know peace is a good thing but I wish something would happen so there was something to do." Rin rolls her eyes as I laugh. "Why do you men always need action to be happy?" Luke looks at Tracer then back at me. "I mean really if something isn't blowing up or being beaten half to death you guys are bored, What is that?"

The guys start laughing as Rin and I look at eachother confused. "Life without excitement gets rather dull." Rin stares at her husband as he stupidly tries to explain. "Where you go day by day with nothing to do but only doing alpha duties and paperwork and..." He stops talking as Rin crosses her arms annoyed. "Darling I'm not saying your boring your not, your alot of fun." I grab Lukes arm and slowly sneak away as Tracer tries to get out of trouble with his wife. "He is so screwed." We make it back to our room and I drop onto the bed as Luke stands infront of me with his arms crossed stairing at me. "So who eles knows about your work?" I sit up on my elbows looking at him nervously. "My clients, the people I saved over the years, my siblings..." I stand up and try to hug him as he steps out of reach. "You told your siblings but you never thought it was important enough to tell me? I'm your bodyguard."

I drop my arms and walk away looking out the window. "You have this whole double life and I only find out about it four years after your father hires me, how did you even hide it for so long?" He strides over to me and grabs my arm pulling me into his chest. "I would sneak out after you fell asleep, then sneak back in before your alarm, but I hated lying to you about it." I tap my heel on the floor nervously as he tightens his grip on my arms. "So the weak girl that needed help with everything was only an act, cause I watched you cold clock a guy three times your size laying him flat on his back. You have never shown your magic abilities, or your strength, which is impressive by the way but what the hell is wrong with you? I slap his hands away and open the window as I streach my wings backing him away. "I'll be back I need some time to think of a way to explain everything." He tries to grab me as I fly out the window into the blackness of night.
