Chapter 7: Have Some More Wine
Back in the family room, the entire company is gathered. Ashley and Jazz have rejoined the group, and storm awareness is in full swing. Janice must have turned up the heat cause it is definitely stuffy in this room full of people. The lively discussion all centers on the snow storm.
“I just checked online updates,” offers Jazz. They’re thinking the snow might not last that long. There’s some kind of front or something that might change things. Sleet, I think?”
“Gross—my least favorite weather phenomenon,” says Dennis. “It pokes you in the face.”
What a goofball, my cousin. “Well, lucky for us we don’t really have to go out tonight or tomorrow.”
“Hey, thanks again for letting me stay,” says Jazz to Poppi.
“No worries, kiddo.”
