Chapter 2 After a short drive, Ravenna turned onto a bumpy dirt road. Lianne remained silent when the car bounced along, straight through a grove of pines. She swallowed the lump in her throat, realizing the only thing surrounding them for miles was the spooky woods. When the car finally came to a stop, Lianne leaned forward, staring at the curved iron gates visible in the bright glow of the headlights. A towering oak leaned down, its branches swaying and kissing the iron gates when a gust of wind surged outside. Ravenna turned to Lianne with a sly grin before stepping out of the car.
