Sam had spent the entire dinner calming me down. I was absolutely livid that my sister had gone through all that s**t and I did nothing to protect her! Deuce and I felt extreme guilt that the last time we saw Rae was hours before she was brutally raped and assaulted! I will never forgive myself, even if she does! I am her older brother! I was supposed to protect her!
We will make Neil pay! Deuce growled in my head.
He will have a slow, agonizing death! I was disgusted with him.
I did feel a little better knowing that Rae had finally found her mate and that it just so happened to be one of my best friends! At first, when I could sense the tension, I was afraid that she would reject him, but so far so good!
