The thought of heading home felt exciting. One would think I wasn't with Edwina last night, making her scream in pleasure. But I felt a new energy surge through me after shifting and running through the woods.
I miss my old self. What I did today, if I must be sincere with myself, was an act of foolishness. As much as I had synced Caleb and gauged his trust, there was still no need for me to go as far as exposing myself that much. He had only seen me once and might still be having doubts about my disability, even though there was nothing to be doubtful about anymore since I affirmed it to him.
