The number was unbelievable. If I had been told that I had almost half of the pack members being allies with Ben, I would have thwarted the saying. But, right here in my face beneath the hill we hid behind were night howler's pack members who had chosen to betray their homeland for a traitor.
Anger simmered through me at the thought of how insensitive they were. I was still their alpha, and they had the audacity to go behind my back and betray me in such a manner. I understand their excuse was my being unable to walk. But joining hands with Ben to destroy not just me but the entire pack was so unreasonable.
