“What is the damage?” Ada demanded the instant she spotted Matt. Matt pulled a face. “The cattle flattened quite a few plants. We cut those stems and harvested the blossoms we could. Other than that, we’ve finished the picking.” Ada’s brows rose. “Already?” “Yes. The rows we worked on were light on blooms.” He frowned. “It was almost as if someone had picked the row.” “That’s weird,” Ada said. “You mean the ones nearest to the river, right?” “Yes,” Matt confirmed. “I walked along those rows two days ago.
