“I’ve received five new orders overnight. Five!” Ada said. “Summer has helped me so much, and she doesn’t even know me.”
“The Williams family are pure gold. Once you’re part of their circle, they’ll do anything for you. Besides, Josh is my brother-in-law. He truly is family.”
Ada set down her tea and rose. “I’ll pack these orders right now. I’ll drive into town this afternoon to send them off.”
“Where you go, I go,” Matt said.
“How is your arm?”
“Bit stiff. I’ve had worse.”
Ada shuddered. “I don’t want to hear.”
He tapped her on the nose. “Not gonna tell. Official secrets and all that.”
Ada sniffed and reached for her phone, praying the thing would hold a charge today—at least long enough for her to fill the orders. She observed the battery icon and beamed. A lucky day.
